Supporting Essex families

Services

We provide a range of confidential and independent services to parent carers as well as young people themselves who;
• Have a special educational need or disability (SEND)
• are aged 0 – 25 years old
• live in Essex

Our services are easy to access, and you do not need a formal diagnosis or GP referral.

Our primary means of support is telephone consultations with a Family Support Adviser (FSA) who can provide advice/support on a range of SEN issues including, but not limited to:

  • SEN support and one planning.
  • Education Health Care (EHC) Needs Assessments Requests.
  • Annual Reviews
  • Exclusions and children out of school.
  • Education appeals – refusal to assess, school placement, the contents of an EHCP, refusal to issue an EHCP, ceasing to maintain an EHCP.
  • Disability living related benefits such as Disability Living Allowance (DLA), Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Carers Allowance and Family Fund.
  • Housing.
  • Social Care.

We also run two weekly activity clubs in Chelmsford and Colchester for SEND children and their families

To book a call with one of our FSA’s please complete our online referral form. You will then be given the opportunity to book a call on a date and time that is convenient for you.
