Family Support Adviser (multiple posts)
North East Essex (Colchester and Tendring), Essex
Full time salary – £24,491 – £25,991 per year (depending on experience).
Flexible working hours available.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for one or more experienced practitioners to join our valued team, providing quality information, advice and practical and emotional support to families in two of our current projects – either to families who have a child with any special educational need or disability, or to families who have a child or young person with any Neurodevelopment condition (whether diagnosed or not).
In both projects, the advice and support you will provide will be on a range of areas including disability related benefits, education provision and support, health, social care, and transport. You will work closely with schools and other professionals in the area, building excellent working relationships to help families bring about the best outcomes for their child or young person.
The ideal candidate will be committed to helping families at the most challenging of times, supporting families with warmth and empathy, whilst maintaining a calm and professional approach. They will be able to self-manage a high and varied case load, tailoring the level of support to each family’s needs, and will work to our values of being understanding, supportive, person-centred and empowering
This position requires travel around North East Essex with some travel to other parts of the county, including weekly visits to our head office in Chelmsford. Your own transport is essential.
