Carers Week – 14–20 June 2010
Carers Week takes place from 14 to 20 June 2010. Its theme is A Life of My Own and will focus on why supporting carers is crucial; how carers miss out on things most people take for granted; what needs to be changed.

London Zoo's Fun Day for children with disabilities – Saturday 12 June 2010
The day is an annual event put on by London Zoo, enabling families with disabled children to enjoy all the zoo has to offer and more at a discount price. Families with disabled children need to pre-book and prepay before 6th June to get the reduced rates. 'Living With Autism' – A Talk by Ros Blackburn – Monday 14 June 2010
Ros Blackburn was diagnosed severely autistic at just over a year old. Now age 40 Ros tends to feel that, while many areas of her autistic condition have remained very severe, others, such as her severe language delay, have disappeared almost completely. Ros gives an invaluable insight into her world of autism. She uses humour and gives graphic examples of her experiences and all aspects of living and working with autism. Alternative therapists will be providing a range of treatments for parents/carers of children and young people with disabilities/special needs.
